Pequot Lakes Staff Report 7 (c) - 1 <br />September 17, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS - Extractive Use Ordinance Discussion <br /> <br />Agenda Item: 7 (c) <br /> <br />Background Information: Staff contacted Chris Pence, Land Services <br />Supervisor, to see if the County had an interest in pursuing a gravel tax. Mr. <br />Pence forwarded the letter on to Tim Bray, Crow Wing Highway Engineer, who <br />stated a gravel tax had been considered approximately 5 years ago, but never <br />moved forward. He did include County Commissioner Paul Thiede with his email <br />response. <br /> <br />Staff is looking for direction from the Planning Commission. Commissioner <br />Thiede could be invited to an upcoming Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff is bringing this to the Planning Commission as <br />a discussion item only. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
