Pequot Lakes Staff Report 4 (a) - 1 <br />May 21, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING – CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> <br />Application: Conditional Use Permit to Operate a <br />Residential/Commercial Cleaning Service, Drop-off Rug <br />Cleaning, and Interior Detailing of Motor Vehicles <br /> <br />Applicant: Sarah Hanson <br /> <br />Agenda Item: 4 (a) <br /> <br />Background Information: The applicant is requesting a conditional use <br />permit to operate a residential and commercial cleaning service from the <br />property located at 31147 Front Street. The subject property is approximately <br />10,500 square feet in area and is zoned Downtown Mixed Use. The subject <br />property contains one structure that includes office space, storage area and a <br />work area with two overhead doors. The structure is 9,504 square feet in size. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The applicant is proposing to operate a residential and commercial cleaning <br />service from the subject property. The business, Optimum Cleaning, employs <br />approximately 10 people and most of those employees will regularly be working <br />off premise. Applicant plans to schedule 1 employee in the office and 1 or 2 <br />employees for the detail center. <br /> <br />Applicant proposes to use the office space for her business, Optimum Cleaning. <br />In addition to residential and commercial cleaning services, applicant also plans <br />to offer carpet cleaning off site. Applicant plans to park business vehicles within <br />the building when not in use and they need to be heated through the winter. <br />Applicant states there is sufficient interior space for storage of equipment, <br />supplies and vehicles.
