<br />Pequot Lakes Staff Report Pre-Meeting Discussion 3 - 3 <br />March 19, 2015 <br />6. Horizontal and vertical alignment shall be coordinated. Centerline grades shall <br />not exceed 15 percent, unless extenuating circumstances dictate a steeper grade, <br />and centerline grades shall not be constructed flatter than 0.5 percent wherever <br />possible. Sharp curves shall not result at the crest or the foot of a steep grade. <br /> <br />7. The roadway surface will be constructed with a minimum of four inches (4”) <br />Class 5 after compaction. A bituminous surface according to MN DOT <br />specification #2340 shall be two inches (2”) thick after compaction on residential <br />streets. The bituminous thickness shall be a minimum of two and one-half inches <br />(2 1/2”) after compaction for collector streets. The bituminous thickness will be <br />reviewed with each application of new street construction by City personnel. <br /> <br />8. All graded areas as a result of road construction shall be protected from erosion to <br />prevent destruction of the roadbed. Topsoil and seeding shall be considered, as <br />required, to prevent erosion. This will be reviewed with every new street under <br />construction by City personnel. <br />
