<br />�, The purpose of this position is to plan, schedule and supervise the organization and fimctioning
<br />of all divisions of the Police Department to assure a coordinated program of law enforcement.
<br />The Sergeant will assume the management duties of the Chief of Police as assigned or during the
<br />Chief s absence.
<br />Job Duties:
<br />1. Supervisory Duties
<br />A. Supervises work of patrol personnel to ensure conformance with established
<br />standards of performance, accuracy of written reports and general operational
<br />effectiveness; recommends disciplinary action, evaluates personnel and processes
<br />grievances.
<br />f3. Conducts or assists iii contract �legotiatioils «ith the Police Ufticer union. Assists
<br />in the de��el����ment of mana�ement strate�ies.
<br />C. Performs timekeeping, scheduling, temporary reassignment and related duties for
<br />all patrol personnel and shifts; evaluates the work of patrol personnel.
