e. planning a house burn in Jenkins as soon as inspections and paperwork is <br />� completed <br />f. participated in a nine department training and house burn session at the former <br />Piney Ridge Resort complex on Whitefish Lake <br />g. applied for a DNR matching grant for $4570.00 to purchase a 1'/2 inch ram <br />fire nozzle at a cost of $900.00, four 100 foot sections of forestry fire hose at a <br />cost of $420.00, three sections of 1 3/4 fire hose at a cost of $2550.00, and a 2 <br />%2 inch gated wye at a cost of $800.00 <br />h. changed our by-laws to allow up to 90 days for a firefighter to make up a <br />required training class <br />i. changed our by-laws to require membership approval of any purchase over <br />$500.00 if not specifically in our regular operating budget. Any emergency <br />repair costs over $500.00 are not required to be approved in advance. <br />8. Our loan for Engine 1 has been paid in full. The amount was for $36752.00. This <br />payment saved about $600.00 in interest fees. The department truck committee has <br />met a couple times. No decisions have been decided yet on any future plans for a new <br />engine to help lower our ISO rating. <br />9. New radio program for Crow Wing County: radios have been ordered, new tower to <br />be constructed north of Pequot Lakes has been <br />delayed, Crow Wing County did receive a grant so <br />cost will be less than predicted, progress is slow to <br />� happen <br />10. New firefighters hired: Three new firefighters were recently hired from a group of <br />nine applicants. They are Matt Kieselbach, Bryant <br />Szymanski, and Justin Katterhagen <br />11. Discussion of new 2012-2013 fire contract rates: Any questions from members? <br />12. Road construction plans for summer for our area: Any new info from anyone? <br />13. Any new business, questions, thoughts from anyone <br />14. Next meeting July 25 at 7 pm at Pequot Lakes fire station <br />15. Adjourn meeting <br />� <br />
