FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT,made and entered into this Pt day of March 2016, by and <br /> Between the CITY OF NISSWA, COUNTY OF CROW WING, STATE OF <br /> MINNESOTA,party of the first part, and CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES, COUNTY <br /> OF CROW WING, STATE OF MINNESOTA,party of the second part. <br /> WHEREAS,the second party, deeming it advisable to have available for the benefit <br /> of the residents of said CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES, fire and first responder services of <br /> the first parties Fire Department, and the electors of said CITY having pursuant to law, <br /> provided a fund for the furnishings of such services, and <br /> WHEREAS,the first party has by appropriate action authorized the Mayor and Clerk <br /> to enter into a contract with the second party for the furnishings of such services. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed between the parties hereto,that during <br /> the term of this contract,the First party will answer any and all fire and first responder <br /> calls of the residents of the CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES, and will respond to such fire <br /> calls with suitable fire fighting apparatus manned by at least three members of the Nisswa <br /> Fire Department or such first responder calls with such emergency equipment as <br /> appropriate, who will render all assistance possible in the saving of life and property. In <br /> consideration of said services, second party agrees to pay$1,467.00 which is .72 % <br /> of the operating cost of the Fire Department and,$107.74 which is .72 % of the costs of <br /> the Firemen's Relief Association, which is to be made payable directly to the Nisswa <br /> Firemen's Relief Association. <br /> $733.50 Contract payment due on or before April 1, 2016. <br />
