City of
AGENDA ITEM #9.5
Pequott
Lakes
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Report Prepared by: Tim Houle
Date: February 2, 2016
Subject: Haul Roads - Anderson Brothers and Akerson Road
Report: At a previous City Council meeting, Mike Loven
summarized the potential of Mathiowetz Construction and their
suppliers and sub-contractors (e.g. Anderson Brothers) needing
to haul material (earth, aggregate, concrete, bituminous, etc.)
over City streets. The City does not have a formal policy and
situations like this are reviewed on a case-by-case basis (e.g.
maintenance, repairs, etc.). MnDOT has mentioned to
Mathiowetz that they might want to start looking at the haul
roads they, their suppliers, and their sub-contractors are
planning to use and start coordinating with local road
authorities as necessary.
When Mathiowetz contacts the City, we could have the
Highway 371 City Coordination Team review their plans and
present them to the Council at a future meeting.
Council Action Requested: No Council action requested.
