• Curb/Gutter: The reconstruction of CSAH 11 creates an opportunity to rebuild/extend the
existing curb and gutter along the existing roadway. The City is in favor of installing curb and
gutter from the existing Highway 371 east to Bergquist Drive. Additional curb and gutter may be
installed as the rest of the corridor develops.
• Landscaping: The City is not in favor of adding turf grass or flowers along the roadway. The
City instead would like to showcase artists' work in this corridor. This could include statues,
murals, benches, etc.
• Medians: The City is not interested in maintaining center medians. Although medians can
contribute to the overall "sense of place," and enhance vehicle and pedestrian safety, the City
has opted for other alternatives to achieve those goals.
• Lighting: Because this is a"gateway" to the city, lighting should be decorative and pedestrian
scaled. The City is in favor of lighting the entire corridor (exiting Highway 371 to the
realignment) to enhance the "feel" and to provide safety for pedestrians and drivers.
;;; " : /;'
;, , ,,.
„j% i`%i
 : y
ii/ iij i /
ii i
-, /i ; 'j,
.,,;j,•; %
s'!"
