Peterson <br />Background Information: The applicants are requesting to rezone two separate <br />areas of their property located at the south intersection of Hurtig Road and <br />County Road 168 (no physical address). The subject property currently has two zoning <br />classifications, Commercial and Forest Management. The property contains two <br />structures, neither of which is a dwelling. The subject property also contains three <br />parcels which are surrounded by the subject property. <br />Rezoning to Rural Residential: <br />The applicants are requesting to rezone 6.63 acres west of Hurtig Road from Forest <br />Management to Rural Residential so that it may be subdivided from the subject property. <br />It currently may not be split from the subject property, as proposed, because the <br />proposed lot does not meet the minimum lot area requirement of the Forest <br />Management Zone. <br />Rezoning to Commercial: <br />The applicants are also requesting to rezone 2.i8 acres from Forest Management to <br />Commercial. The subject 2.i8 acres is adjacent to an area of the subject property that is <br />already zoned Commercial. The applicant is also proposing to split the 2.i8 from the <br />subject property and combine it with the other commercially zoned property adjacent to <br />the north. <br />Pequot Lakes Council Report <br />May �, 2oi3 <br />
