City Council Minutes <br /> November 1, 2011 <br /> Page 10 <br /> The Clerk noted that it was suggested that the number of Planning <br /> Commission members be reduced from seven to five. She stated that if <br /> this is something the Council wishes to pursue, an ordinance amendment <br /> to Sections 3 and 17 of the City Code is required. She also noted that an <br /> amendment to Section 17 requires a public hearing. <br /> The Council discussed changing the existing ordinance to read "no less <br /> than five members." It was the consensus of the Council to reduce the <br /> existing number of Planning Commission members to five. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO CALL A PUBLIC HEARING TO <br /> CONSIDER AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 17-11.3 OF THE ZONING <br /> ORDINANCE REDUCING THE NUMBER OF PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> MEMBERS TO FIVE. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 12. Other Business <br /> There was no other business. <br /> 13. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> MOVED TO ADJOURN. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION.
