SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> TUESDAY, AUGUST 18, 2015 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor Sjoblad, Council Members Akerson, Karr, Loukota, <br /> and Pederson <br /> Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk/Treasurer; Nancy Malecha, <br /> Finance Administrator/Deputy City Clerk; Eric Kiang, Police <br /> Chief; Chad Turcotte, Police Sergeant; Mike Loven, Public <br /> Works Supervisor; Tom Nelson, Fire Chief; Dawn Bittner, <br /> Zoning Administrator/Administrative Specialist; and Tom <br /> Adams, Library Board Treasurer <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Sjoblad called the special meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council <br /> to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> The agenda was accepted as presented. <br /> 3. Selection of Finalists for City Administrator Position <br /> Gary Weiers from David Drown Associates discussed with the Council the <br /> selection process of finalists for the City Administrator position. Mr. <br /> Weiers noted that a numbering system is used to select the finalists to <br /> comply with applicant data confidentiality in accordance with State statute. <br /> Each Council Member selected their top three candidates in random order <br /> using the numbering system. <br /> • Council Member Pederson 2, 3, 7 <br /> • Council Member Loukota 3, 4, 9 <br /> • Mayor Sjoblad 3, 4, 7 <br /> • Council Member Karr 2, 3, 8 <br /> • Council Member Akerson 6, 1, 7 <br /> Mr. Weiers recommended that the Council interview 3-5 candidates. He <br /> stated that candidates 2, 3, 4, and 7 were the top choices by the Council. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO INTERVIEW MARK <br /> CASEY, TRAVIS GOEDKEN, ROBERT KAZMIERSKI, AND REBECCA <br /> SCHRUPP FOR THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR POSITION ON <br />
