In this policy, it would be at the discretion <br /> of the City as to whether quotes would be needed for <br /> purchases less than $25,000. This would give department <br /> heads more flexibility during the purchasing process. There <br /> are times when it does not make sense to obtain two quotes <br /> prior to a purchase. Especially when time is of the essence <br /> or there is a circumstance when it makes the most sense to <br /> make the purchase from a certain vendor. <br /> Purchases over $25,000 but under $100,000 will require a <br /> minimum of two quotes.
