PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br /> THURSDAY, JULY 9, 2015 <br /> SIBLEY LAKE PARK <br /> Members Present: Chair Malecha, Commissioners Bruch, Nagel, Ettesvold, Nordby, <br /> and Ronning (Ettesvold and Bruch arrived late) <br /> Members Absent: Commissioner Caouette <br /> Also Present: Mike Loven, Public Works Supervisor; Sandy Peine, City Clerk and <br /> Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator/Administrative Specialist <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Chair Malecha called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA. <br /> COMMISSIONER RONNING SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Park Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER NORDBY MOVED TO APPROVE THE JUNE 11, 2015, <br /> PARK COMMISSION MINUTES AS READ. COMMISSIONER NAGEL <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 4. Sibley Lake Park <br /> Lights in the Park <br /> Commissioner Nordby had not had an opportunity to visit the park at dusk as it <br /> stays light out so late. She suggested a light on each end of the pavilion and one <br /> street light Mr. Loven stated lights can be added if it is determined more are <br /> necessary. <br /> It was suggested that the playground area could be on the south end of the park. <br /> This area is fairly level with a view of Sibley Lake. <br /> It was the consensus of the Park Commission that the decision on lighting wait <br /> until the repair of the parking lot for the Babinski apartments is completed. There <br /> may be light from that lot shining on the Park. This should be placed on the <br /> September Park Commission Agenda. <br />
