12. Pancake breakfast report: event went very well, 1565 people attended (a new record),we made <br /> $8500.00 which included several generous donations,everyone is happy <br /> 13. Dave Guenther and Carlee Walschek(scholarship recipient)Carlee designed and Dave painted a <br /> fire fighter scene on plywood which will be used for picture taking at events,was a big hit at <br /> pancake breakfast, Dave owed department a favor for use of our tables during the school's <br /> annual art show <br /> 14. Shared services grant report: results were presented July 14th at meeting in Brainerd,was not as <br /> detailed as we thought, requires each department to establish their own mutual aid <br /> policies,there was no information for home owners who have a fire department closer to them <br /> than the department contracted to protect their township or city <br /> 15. 2016 budget: proposed at$199,000 which is a$5320.00 increase from 2015,funds were saved by <br /> plans to repair&repaint Rescue 1 instead of replacing it,and by purchasing a used utility <br /> vehicle and refurbishing and repairing Grass 1 instead of replacing it,other plans for 2016 are <br /> to install new tool organizers and update some equipment on Engine 1,future plans for 2017 <br /> will be to replace a thermal imaging camera and possibly our Hurst rescue tools,our newer <br /> thermal imaging camera can be updated with new technological improvements for$2900.00 <br /> that will also extend the warranty for three more years, plans are to apply for donations from <br /> local power companies and Landis Gyr to help finance our needs,we still have serious needs for <br /> our air pack situation <br /> 16.
