Water/Wastewater Report <br />December 2011 <br />Water Dept. <br />I. Facilitv Performance: <br />Average daily gallons pumped: <br />76,000 gallons <br />Maximum daily gallons pumped: <br />122,000 gallons <br />Minimum daily gallons pumped: <br />40,000 gallons <br />Total monthly gallons pumped: <br />2,355,000 gallons <br />Average daily chlorine concentration: 0.49 mg/l <br />Required chlorine concentration: 0.2 to 0.5 mg/l <br />*Average daily fluoride concentration: 0.8 mg/l* <br />*Required fluoride concentration: 0.9 mg/1 to 1.5 mg/l* <br />*The MDH is currently reviewing the pros and cons of fluoride addition and <br />are looking at lowering the required amount to a range of 0.6 mg /l to 1.0 mg/l* <br />II. Operations and Maintenance: <br />• The MN Department of Health Monthly Fluoridation Report was completed and <br />submitted. <br />• Completed weekly testing. <br />• Completed monthly Water plant maintenance <br />• Read the water meters <br />• Completed all Water service requests. <br />• We have been informed by MDH that I failed to submit the Fluoride sample for the last <br />quarter of 2011. 1 do not know what the ramifications of this are. I cannot go back to <br />October and get another sample, I say I sent it, they Say I didn't. They win. <br />• We had two Emergency Shut offs this month, one was repaired by the home owner and <br />restarted, the other has been shut off until spring. The second needs a new curb stop. <br />
