Water/Wastewater Report December 2011 Water Dept. I. Facilitv Performance: Average daily gallons pumped: 76,000 gallons Maximum daily gallons pumped: 122,000 gallons Minimum daily gallons pumped: 40,000 gallons Total monthly gallons pumped: 2,355,000 gallons Average daily chlorine concentration: 0.49 mg/l Required chlorine concentration: 0.2 to 0.5 mg/l *Average daily fluoride concentration: 0.8 mg/l* *Required fluoride concentration: 0.9 mg/1 to 1.5 mg/l* *The MDH is currently reviewing the pros and cons of fluoride addition and are looking at lowering the required amount to a range of 0.6 mg /l to 1.0 mg/l* II. Operations and Maintenance: • The MN Department of Health Monthly Fluoridation Report was completed and submitted. • Completed weekly testing. • Completed monthly Water plant maintenance • Read the water meters • Completed all Water service requests. • We have been informed by MDH that I failed to submit the Fluoride sample for the last quarter of 2011. 1 do not know what the ramifications of this are. I cannot go back to October and get another sample, I say I sent it, they Say I didn't. They win. • We had two Emergency Shut offs this month, one was repaired by the home owner and restarted, the other has been shut off until spring. The second needs a new curb stop.
