City Council Minutes <br />March 5, 2013 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />----------------------- - - - - -- <br />The City Clerk requested the Council to enter into a service agreement <br />with TDS for the purchase of an IP to purchase a Managed IP phone <br />system. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS <br />SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH TDS TO INCLUDE THE PURCHASE OF <br />A MANAGED IP PHONE SYSTEM. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4 -0. <br />11.3. Revised Financial Report <br />The Clerk explained that the Finance Director has drafted a simplified <br />financial report for the Council to review. If the Council is in agreement <br />that this report is sufficient, it will be provided in the upcoming Council <br />packets. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO ACCEPT THE SUMMARY <br />REVENUES /EXPENDITURES COMPARED TO BUDGET FINANCIAL <br />REPORT AS THE MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE <br />COUNCIL. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4 -0. <br />11.4. Revised Budqetinq Style <br />The Clerk informed the Council that the Department Heads and Finance <br />Director are requesting the Council to change the current budget style <br />from the seasonal method to the annual method. Seasonal budgeting is <br />done on a month by month basis which is time consuming. The staff feels <br />that this does not offer additional benefits from the annual budgeting style. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO <br />REVERT BACK TO THE ANNUAL BUDGETING STYLE BEGINNING <br />WITH THE 2014 BUDGETS. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4 -0. <br />11.5. Resolution for KRLS Fundinq to Crosslake and Pequot Lakes <br />Mayor Adams introduced a resolution to request the Kitchigami Regional <br />Library Board to reinstate the funding for the Pequot Lakes Library. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 13- <br />09 OF SUPPORT FOR MATERIALS FUNDING FOR THE KRLS <br />AFFILIATE LIBRARIES IN CROSSLAKE AND PEQUOT LAKES. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 4 -0. <br />
