City of <br />Pequot <br />Lakes— <br />AGENDA ITEM #9.3 <br />REPORT TO <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />Date: March 5, 2013 <br />Subiect: Amendments to Water and Sewer Ordinances <br />Report: The draft water and sewer ordinances are <br />attached for Council review. The red -lined version of the <br />ordinances will show the proposed changes. Redrafting of <br />these ordinances originated from the EDC's request to <br />study the WAC and SAC fee structure. The City hired <br />WSN to assist in this effort. Both water and sewer <br />ordinances have been revised to include reference to Water <br />Availability Charges (WAC) and Sewer Availability <br />Charges (SAC). If adopted, these charges will be based on <br />Equivalent Residential Connections (ERC). <br />The Economic Development Commission has <br />recommended that the Council adopt the ordinances. An <br />excerpt from the draft EDC minutes is attached. <br />The EDC is also recommending that the Council amend the <br />WAC and SAC fees based on the WSN study. The <br />
