WHEREAS,the same statute further states, however, that the city council may, by <br /> resolution adopted by two-thirds vote, dispense with the requirements of this subdivision when in <br /> its judgment it finds that the acquisition or disposal of real property has no relationship to the <br /> comprehensive plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br /> THAT: The City Council hereby finds that the proposed acquisition of the Property by the City <br /> of Pequot Lakes from the State has no relationship to the City's Comprehensive Plan, and <br /> therefore review of the proposed acquisition by the Pequot Lakes Planning Commission is not <br /> required under Minn. Stat. § 462.356, Subd. 2, and is hereby dispensed with as allowed by that <br /> statute. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: The City Council hereby approves the attached <br /> JPA, Exhibit A, and authorizes and directs the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the JPA <br /> substantially in the form hereby approved and such other documents as may be necessary to <br /> close on the acquisition of the Property by the City of Pequot Lakes from the State and to <br /> thereafter record the same in the Office of the Crow Wing County Recorder, including but not <br /> limited to the respective quitclaim deed(s) for the acquisition Property by the City from the State. <br /> Passed and adopted by the Pequot Lakes City Council with a to Vote. <br /> Council Members Voting in Favor of the Resolution: <br /> Council Members Voting Against the Resolution: <br /> Dated this day of , 2015 <br /> David Sjoblad <br /> Mayor <br /> Sandy Peine <br /> City Clerk <br /> 2 <br />
