COMMUNITY City aj
Pe uat
Glzow
INSTITUTE
Lakes
COUNCIL REPORT
Background Information: Crow Wing County would like to classify the subject tax -
forfeited property (PID 2903513o2AooABo) as "Non- Conservation" so that it may be
sold in the future at auction. They are requesting the City's input on reclassifying and
selling the subject property.
The subject property is 6 acres and does not contain any structures. The property is
located adjacent to County Road 107, southeast of East Twin Lake. The subject property
is non - conforming, because it does not meet the minimum size requirements for the
Forest Management Zone.
The subject property is under half interest with another party (taxes current).
City Council Direction: The City may support the county's request for reclassifying
the property as "Non- conservation" so that it may be sold in the future. The City may
also elect to not support the reclassification.
Planning Commission Recommendation: The Planning Commission recommends
the City Council approve the reclassification of the subject property to "Non -
Conservation" and suggests the County should offer the subject property to the other t/2
interest property owner by direct sale to that party prior to auctioning the subject 1/2
interest ownership to the general public.
Pequot Ickes Council Repoit
March 5, 2013
