Based <br /> on discussions with City staff, it is our understanding that staff is interested in completing a <br /> review of existing utility easements as it pertains to easement location, purpose and recording <br /> status. We see this as potentially being a multi-phased process, with the first step being a review <br /> of easement documents currently on file at City Hall. <br /> The scope of services we propose to provide for this first phase and the associated estimated <br /> cost are as follows: <br /> Phase One - Review of On-File Easement Documents <br /> • Use existing easement documents and utility maps as the basis of our work. <br /> • Review the easement documents for location and purpose and overlay the easements on <br /> the existing utility map. <br /> • Prepare an Easement Exhibit drawing showing our findings. <br /> • Provide 4 paper copies and an electronic pdf version of the drawing for your use. <br /> Estimated Cost $2,500.00 <br /> Once this review is complete, we may find there to be areas where the existing easement <br /> documents currently on file don't adequately cover the in-place utilities. Should this be the case, <br /> review of public records for the existence of additional recorded easements would be necessary. <br /> While the extent of this review is unknown at this time, it is anticipated that approximately the <br /> same amount of work, and therefore cost, would be necessary to complete this second step. <br /> A possible third phase may exist as well, should it be found that the preparation and recording of <br /> additional easements is necessary to cover all areas of usage. Specific scopes of service and <br /> associated costs would be provided for these additional phases as the need arises. <br /> If you are in agreement with our proposal and would like to move forward with this first phase, <br /> please sign, date and return a copy of this proposal as our authorization to proceed.
