ORDINANCE AMENDMENT SUMMARY <br />CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br />On February 5, 2024 the City of Pequot Lakes adopted the following ordinance <br />amendments: <br />Ordinance Number 23-84, an ordinance amending Chapter 17 of the Pequot Lakes City <br />Code, the City's Zoning Ordinance, to rezone the property located at 3225o Rolling <br />Meadows Ln (PIN 290205o8) from "Agriculture" to "Forest Management." <br />Ordinance Number 24-01, an ordinance amending the following sections in Chapter 17 of <br />the Pequot Lakes City Code, the City's Zoning Ordinance: Section 5.6 "Rural Residential," <br />Section 5.7, "Transition Residential," Section 5.8 "Shoreline Residential," and Section 5.9, <br />"Urban Residential." The amendment allows up to two accessory structures totaling no <br />more than 160 sq. ft. to be constructed in residential zones without a permit so long as all <br />zoning requirements are met. The amendment also removes the 13 ft maximum height <br />requirement for accessory structures (excluding guest cottages) and provisions regarding <br />maximum size for accessory structures in the "Shoreline Residential" Zone. <br />This notice is a summary of the ordinance amendments that were adopted by the City. A <br />full copy of the amendments and the city code/zoning map are available at City Hall.
