City ;ft
Pequ
Lakes
Water/Wastewater Report — December 2023
Water SN stem Flows for November:
Average Daily Gallons Pumped: 111,000 gallons
Total Monthly Gallons Pumped: 3,231,000 gallons
Wastewater System Flows for November:
Average Daily Flow: 66,230 gallons (Design: 121,795 GPD)
Total Monthly Flow: 1,986,900 gallons
Operations Report
Pequot Lakes:
• Daily water treatment plant and wastewater collection system inspections were completed.
• Wastewater pond and lift station checks were completed periodically, and lift station
monthly preventative maintenance was performed on 12/18.
• Weekly water testing for MDH was completed.
• Water meters were read on 12/20.
• All monthly regulatory reporting was completed. The MDH Fluoride Report and MPCA
monthly DMR were submitted on 12/4, and the quarterly MPCA DMR for the WTP was
submitted on 12/5.
• A bad thermostat in the water tower base was discovered and a replacement is on order. I
also found a couple bad overload relays in the Trailside lift station electrical panel on
Isabelle and have ordered replacements.
• The mild weather has allowed us to continue some of our "fall" maintenance activities
around town, and Ken and I have been cleaning built-up debris out of gate valve boxes on
the City's water distribution system. We should have this done before the end of the year.
Lake Share:
• Quality Flow Systems replaced a faulty phase monitor in the panel at Causeway lift station.
• Seasonal maintenance in Lake Shore is complete and several septic tanks and valve vaults
have been covered with frost blankets to prevent freezing during the winter months.
Respectfully Submitted by Andy Schwartz, Water/Wastewater Operations Manager, City of
Pequot Lakes. Please feel free to call my cell at 320-232-5787 with any questions or concerns.
