Mike Loven stated that the Park <br /> Commission recommended locating the facility at the bottom of the hill. <br /> Council Member Pederson stated he is concerned with the cost, size, <br /> location, and looks of the building. He stated that the building should be <br /> aesthetically pleasing if it is going to be placed near Dru's Garden and <br /> near other land marks in the park. He felt that the proposed block building <br /> looks institutional. He also noted that he did not see a need for four stalls. <br /> Council Member Karr stated that four stalls would be.necessary in the <br /> ,r <br /> event there is a future splash park in the area. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON OPPOSED. <br /> Council*mber Akerson stated that he would like to see the roof design <br /> match the chamber building. <br /> The Clerk noted that there may be some local 501 C3 organizations that <br /> are willing to donate toward the facility. She requested the Council to <br /> authorize the Park Commission to ask local organizations to donate <br /> money for the restroom facility at Trailside Park. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE PARK <br /> COMMISSION TO SOLICIT DONATIONS FROM 501C3 <br /> ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE TRAILSIDE PARK RESTROOMS. <br />
