<br />PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br />THURSDAY, APRIL 11, 2013 <br />CITY HALL <br /> <br /> <br />Members Present: Chair Malecha, and Commissioners Nagel, Ettesvold, and <br />Gibbons <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Bruch <br /> <br />Also Present: Sandy Peine, City Clerk; Nancy Adams, Mayor; Tyler <br />Gardner, Council Member <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br /> Chair Malecha called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider Agenda <br /> <br /> No changes were made to the agenda. <br /> <br />3. Park Commission Minutes <br /> <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE 3/14/2013 PARK <br />COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER GIBBONS SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />4. Mayo Lake Nature Preserve <br /> <br /> Discussion was held regarding signs to designate the perimeter of Mayo <br />Lake Nature Preserve. The location of the signage was discussed. The <br />Park Commissioners suggested that the signage should be placed at the <br />main areas of the park. It was the consensus of the Park Commissioners <br />that the signs are green in color and not be of a highly reflective material. <br />The perimeter signs should read “City of Pequot Lakes.” Discussion was <br />also held regarding putting a gate at the entrance of the park. <br /> <br /> Discussion was held regarding a sign depicting the rules of the park. It <br />was the consensus of the Commissioners that the sign read as follows: <br /> <br /> Mayo Lake Park Preserve <br />• Open dawn to dusk <br />• Hunting not allowed <br />• No motorized vehicles <br />• Please place litter in cans <br /> <br />Enjoy the park <br />
