MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 2015 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor Sjoblad, Council Members Akerson, Pederson, Karr, <br /> and Loukota <br /> Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Mike Loven, Public Works <br /> Supervisor; Mark Hallan, WSN; Tim Houle, City Engineer; <br /> Nancy Malecha, Finance Administrator/Deputy City Clerk; <br /> Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator <br /> Also Present: Gary Weiers, David Drown Associates; Paul Steinman, <br /> Springsted, Inc. <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Sjoblad called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br /> order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 1.1 Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Mayor Sjoblad led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ACCEPT THE AGENDA <br /> AS PRESENTED. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 3. Organizational Structure Study, Gary Weiers, David Drown Associates <br /> Gary Weiers of David Drown Associates, addressed the Council stating <br /> that he was hired by the City to research and provide information that will <br /> assist the City in determining the future administrative structure following <br /> the present Clerk's retirement. Mr. Weiers previously met with the Mayor <br /> and Council Members and City Department Heads to discuss the <br /> organizational structure issue. He gave a brief summary of the staff and <br /> Council comments. Mr. Weiers explained that he received positives and <br /> negatives about the current Council liaison system from conversations <br /> with both Council and Staff. <br /> Mr. Weiers spoke about the present City Clerk's move to retirement and <br /> the transition that will take place in the City.
