MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> MONDAY, JANUARY 27, 2015 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor Sjoblad, Council Members Akerson, Pederson, and <br /> Loukota <br /> Members Absent: Council Member Karr <br /> Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Mike Loven, Public Works <br /> Supervisor; Tim Houle, City Engineer; Nancy Malecha, <br /> Finance Administrator/Deputy City Clerk; Chad Turcotte, <br /> Sergeant; Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator; Bill Rickard, <br /> Asst. Fire Chief; and Tom Nelson, Fire Chief <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Sjoblad called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br /> order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 1.1 Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Mayor Sjoblad led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> The agenda was accepted as presented. <br /> 3. Special Work Session to Discuss Future City Planning and Department <br /> Goals <br /> Mayor Sjoblad requested the staff and Council liaisons to give an <br /> explanation of their role in each department, commission and/or <br /> committee that they are involved with. He also requested a review of <br /> current projects and mid-range and long-range plans for each department. <br /> The following departments/committees/commissions were reviewed: <br /> • Building Committee —Mike Loven explained which buildings the City <br /> owns and maintains. The building committee meets only when <br /> there is a need for maintenance or remodeling. <br />
