SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> TUESDAY, MARCH 3, 2015 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor Sjoblad, Council Members Akerson, Pederson, <br /> Loukota, and Karr <br /> Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Nancy Malecha, Finance <br /> Administrator/Deputy City Clerk; Mike Loven, Public Works <br /> Supervisor; Tim Houle, City Engineer; Tony Pohl, WSN <br /> Engineer; Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator; and Eric <br /> Klang, Chief of Police <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Sjoblad called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br /> order at 5:15 p.m. <br /> 1.1 Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Mayor Sjoblad led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 1.5. Highway 371 Discussion <br /> Mayor Sjoblad stated that staff has prepared a spreadsheet which <br /> describes the roads to be turned back from the County to the City and the <br /> financial impacts to the City. <br /> County Road 112 —The County's contribution to the City for this road is <br /> $793,500. The City is proposing 2 blocks of a full urban reconstruction <br /> which would be about 1.6 million dollars. <br /> • There was a consensus of the Council to accept the turnback of CR <br /> 112 from the County; however, there was no consensus on <br /> accepting the proposed dollar amount from the County. <br /> CSAH 11 —The Council discussed the proposed improvements to CSAH <br /> 11 that has been proposed by the City. Because this road is going to be <br /> the main entrance there were aesthetic improvements included in the <br /> City's plans. The cost for the City's proposal was over$3 million dollars. <br /> The County's contribution to the City for the road improvements to CSAH <br /> 11 is $659,000. <br />
