City Of AGENDA ITEM #5.3 <br /> Pequott <br /> Lakes— <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Report Prepared by- Sandy Peine, City Clerk <br /> Date: March 24, 2015 <br /> Subiect: Spray Irrigation Land Donation <br /> Report: In October 2007, the City Council entered into a "non- <br /> binding" Memorandum of Agreement with the Minnesota <br /> Department of Transportation relative to the Highway 371 project. <br /> This agreement specifically addresses the City's waste water spray <br /> irrigation land The Memorandum of Agreement states that the <br /> City will be responsible for all costs associated with the relocation <br /> and reorientation of the property <br /> MnDOT has met with City staff to discuss the City's conveyance <br /> of a 16.72 acre parcel of property to MnDOT at no cost (as a <br /> donation). The appraised value of the property is $50,000. <br /> The attached resolution dispenses with the Planning Commission's <br /> review of the property conveyance. A motion approving this <br /> resolution will require a two-thirds vote of the Council (4 out of 5 <br /> members must vote in favor of the resolution) <br /> The Council considered this issue at its January 6th Council <br /> meeting and decided to take no action at that time Since then <br />
