Explorer/Volunteer Program <br /> Fire Chief Nelson stated that the Fire Department isterested in exploring <br /> the possibility of starting a volunteer explorer program.;it was the <br /> consensus of the Council to allow the Fire Department to move forward <br /> with researching this type of program, ,rf <br /> 8. Police Department i �-- <br /> 8.1. 2014 Annual Report <br /> Sergeant Turcotte presented the 204 Police Annual Report. <br /> 9. Public Works <br /> 9.1. Public Facilities Update <br /> Tim Houle addreedthe council regarding the City's spray irrigation field. <br /> He/explained that the proposed route dissects the City's present spray <br /> irrigation field.ivinDaT has told the City that due to its accelerated <br /> schedule, they would commit funds to provide a `temporary' disposal <br /> system. The City has discussed with MnDOT the desire to use funds that <br /> MnDOT might provide to address a more permanent solution versus using <br /> them on a 'temporary' solution. The City is researching a row irrigation <br /> system that would be located on the east side of the new Highway 371. <br /> Mayor Sjoblad stated that if MnDOT would have to haul the waste away, it <br /> would cost over one million dollars. Council Member Pederson stated that <br /> any improvement to the system will have to be paid for by the 387 sewer <br /> customers. If the new Highway was not coming through the City would not <br /> have to change the system; just replace the irrigators and some other <br /> equipment for about $500,000. <br /> 9.2. Change Order/Final Pay Estimate for Holden Electric <br />
