Appoint Park Commission Member <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPOINT BILLIE JEAN CAOUETTE TO <br /> THE PARK COMMISSION FOR A THREE YEAR TERM TO EXPIRE ON <br /> 12/31/2017. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.3. Trailside Park Playground Equipment <br /> The City Clerk stated that the City has received a donation from the Nancy <br /> and Thomas Adams family in the amount of$75,000 for a playground at <br /> Trailside Park. The Adams have requested that the playground be named <br /> the Adams Family Playground. <br /> The Clerk stated that the Park Commission is recommending approval of <br /> the proposed playground equipment and the layout of the equipment. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 14- <br /> 23, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE THOMAS <br /> AND NANCY ADAMS FAMILY FOR PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT <br /> TRAILSIDE PARK. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. MAYOR ADAMS ABSTAINED. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AND THE LAYOUT OF THE <br /> PLAYGROUND. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. MAYOR ADAMS ABSTAINED. <br /> Council Member Sjoblad publicly announced the generosity of the Adams <br /> family for the donation of the playground equipment to the City. <br /> 10.4. Park Siqnage <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> LANGUAGE ON THE SIGNS FOR THE DRU SJODIN GARDEN, <br /> TRAILSIDE PARK PLAYGROUND AND THE DOG PARK. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> It was the consensus of the Council to add the date of 2015 to the Adams <br /> Playground sign. <br /> 10.5.
