City Clerk Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 10.1. 2013 Year-End Financial Report <br /> Nancy Malecha presented the 2013 year-end financial report. The total <br /> cash balance in 2013 was $3,549,866.53. The 2013 General Fund cash <br /> balance was $1,271,403.65 and General Fund revenues exceeded <br /> expenditures by $79,901. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ACCEPT THE 2013 YEAR- <br /> END FINANCIAL REPORT. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 10.2. Chamber Building Lease Agreement <br /> The City Clerk presented the draft lease agreement between the City and <br /> the Chamber for the Trailside Building. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO ENTER INTO THE <br /> TRAILSIDE LEASE AGREEMENT EFFECTIVE JUNE 3, 2014. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Pederson noted that this would cost the City money each <br /> year even though the Chamber is paying rent. The Clerk noted that the <br /> lease allows the option to review the rent payment in two years. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 3-1. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON OPPOSED. <br /> 10.3. Ordinance Amendment— Licensing and Regulating Dogs <br /> The City Clerk indicated that the proposed amendment will eliminate the <br /> licensing of dogs in the City of Pequot Lakes and will correct deficiencies <br /> in the current ordinance relating to dangerous dogs. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 14-03 <br /> AMENDING CHAPTER 9, ARTICLE 2, REGULATING THE KEEPING <br /> OF DOGS. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE A SUMMARY <br /> PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 14-04 AMENDING CHAPTER 9, <br />
