City Council Minutes <br /> January 6, 2015 <br /> Page 5 of 11 <br /> from Dondelinger was $2,000 less than NJPA. He noted that this is a <br /> budgeted item. <br /> Chief Klang explained the differences between different types police <br /> vehicles including a Ford Explorer SUV, Charger, Taurus, Tahoe and <br /> Chevy Caprice. He stated that there is not much difference in mileage and <br /> most have all wheel or 4-wheel drive. The Tahoe is the most expensive <br /> but has the best resale value. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO PURCHASE THE 2015 <br /> POLICE PACKAGE CHEVY TAHOE FROM DONDELINGER AT <br /> $33,781. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9. Public Works <br /> 9.1. Engineering Services for 2015 <br /> Tim Houle addressed the Council regarding providing engineering <br /> services for 2015. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO REAPPOINT WSN AS THE <br /> CITY ENGINEERS FOR 2015. COUNCIL MEMBER KARR SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9.2. Joint Powers Road Agreements <br /> Mike Loven requested the Council to enter into road agreements with the <br /> City of Jenkins, Ideal Township, Loon Lake Township and the City of <br /> Nisswa. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO ENTER INTO A 5-YEAR <br /> JOINT POWERS ROAD AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF JENKINS, <br /> IDEAL TOWNSHIP, LOON LAKE TOWNSHIP, AND THE CITY OF <br /> NISSWA. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9.3. Spray Irrigation Land Donation <br /> The City Clerk explained that the City Council had entered into a non- <br /> binding Memorandum of Agreement with MnDOT regarding the Highway <br /> 371 project. The agreement states that the City will be responsible for all <br /> costs associated with the relocation and reorientation of the waste water <br />
