City Council Minutes <br /> October 28, 2014 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> Present at the closed session were: Mayor Adams, Council Members <br /> Pederson, Akerson, and Sjoblad, City Clerk Sandy Peine, Les Kundo; <br /> Union representative, Josh Gartner, Brandon Fitzsimmons; City Attorney. <br /> The agenda item was discussed. <br /> The City Council meeting reopened from the closed session at 7:20 p.m. <br /> 4. Discussion on Pending Litigation Teamsters General Local Union NO. 346 <br /> Purported Labor Contract Grievances Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes <br /> Section 13D.05, Subdivision 3(b) <br /> Mayor Adams noted that this portion of the meeting will be closed <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 13D.05, subdivision 3(b). <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO CLOSE THE MEETING. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> The Council went into closed session in the Pequot Lakes Council <br /> Chambers at 7:25 p.m. <br /> Present at the closed session were: Mayor Adams, Council Members <br /> Pederson, Akerson, and Sjoblad, City Clerk Sandy Peine, Chief of Police <br /> Eric Kiang, Sergeant Turcotte, and City Attorney Brandon Fitzsimmons. <br /> The agenda item was discussed. <br /> Following a closed meeting, the City Council meeting reopened at 7:55 <br /> pm. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED <br /> 1. THAT THE PURPORTED GRIEVANCE OF TEAMSTERS, LOCAL <br /> 346 RELATED TO THE WRITTEN REPRIMAND AGAINST JOSH <br /> GARTNER OF AUGUST 19, 2014 BE DENIED. <br /> 2. THAT THE PURPORTED GRIEVANCE OF TEAMSTERS, LOCAL <br /> 346 RELATED TO THE DISCHARGE OF JOSH GARTNER OF <br /> SEPTEMBER 2, 2014, BE DENIED. <br /> 3. THAT THE CITY CLERK SUBMIT WRITTEN <br /> CORRESPONDENCE TO THE UNION CONSISTENT WITH THIS <br />
