Partnership Presentation- Park Event 2024 <br />Mary Kay Verkennes from Central Lakes Rotary of <br />Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Pine River, Crosby <br />The currently do a Music Festival to end human trafficking and they want to reach more younger <br />families to get the messaging out about human trafficking. BLA is one of the hot areas for <br />human trafficking and they are looking at hosting an event and are looking for a partner. There <br />was discussion that maybe we could use Music in the Park as a message opportunity. Another <br />option was a Family Fun Day- possibility Splash Pad, Playground, Bounce House. <br />8. Council Member Report to Council <br />Kim Churack will take October 2nd to report <br />9. Christmas Lights <br />Park Commission has become the Griswold Committee <br />Mayor Gardner- "want to be better than Nisswa" <br />Mayor's tree with North Block looking good <br />Would like to add to the Chamber building <br />There is currently $3,000 in the fund for additional lights. <br />Crew of 12 -13 volunteers for this year on board for this year <br />We need power in more places <br />Can we add more lights? <br />Can we add more heavy duty plug ins? <br />Can we expand electricity to the park? <br />10.
