ORDINANCE AMENDMENT SUMMARY <br />CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br />On November 6, 2023 the City of Pequot Lakes adopted Ordinance Number 23- , an <br />ordinance amending the following sections in Chapter 17 of the Code: Section 5.6 "Rural <br />Residential," Section 5.7, "Transition Residential," Section 5.8 "Shoreline Residential," <br />and Section 5.9, "Urban Residential." The amendment allows up to two accessory <br />structures totaling no more than 160 sq. ft. to be constructed in residential zones without a <br />permit so long as all zoning requirements are met. The amendment also removes the 13 ft <br />maximum height requirement for accessory structures (excluding guest cottages) in the <br />"Shoreline Residential" Zone. <br />This notice is a summary of the ordinance amendments that were adopted by the City. A <br />full copy the amendment and the City Code are available at City Hall.
