I am pleased to inform you that the proposed ordinance amendment is substantially <br />compliant with the statewide rules and hereby approved, provided all of the conditions of approval in <br />this letter are met. <br />Ordinance Evaluation <br />We have reviewed the following sections that you propose to amend in your draft ordinance received <br />on 10/11/2023 for compliance with state shoreland rules (MR 6120.2500 — 6120.3900). Our conditional <br />approval only applies to the specific sections within your Ordinance as listed below: <br />1. Section 17 -5.8 (Shoreline Residential (SR): <br />a. Section 17- 5.8(1) — maximum height of accessory structures <br />b. Section 17- 5.8(2)1 — Accessory structure permit requirements <br />Attached is the proposed ordinance OR amendment with my comments, color -coded as follows (delete <br />any color -coded category that you are not using for this review): <br />Non colored Comments. These may include suggestions to improve administration or shoreland <br />protection or other information to clarify issues for your community. <br />Conditions of Approval <br />The following conditions must be met before the DNR will issue final approval: <br />1. Consider addressing and revising the ordnance further by addressing the suggested "non - <br />colored comments" within the attached Ordinance. <br />2. Return the attached "Ordinance Processing Checklist" and documents identified on the <br />checklist. <br />Next Steps <br />
