City Council Minutes <br />January 3, 2012 <br />Page 6 of 11 <br />Water /wastewater report received by Council. <br />9.1. Consider Purchase of Meter Reader <br />Mike Loven noted that the hand -held meter reader was in need of <br />replacement. He explained that replacement parts are no longer available <br />and that the software program to run the device is no longer supported. <br />Mike Loven stated that he received two quotes for the meter reader. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO PURCHASE A HAND HELD <br />DEVICE AT $6,026.06 FROM FARGO WATER EQUIPMENT. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- <br />0. <br />9.2. Utilitv Billing Adiustment Quarteriv Report <br />A <br />The Clerk explained that the utility billing quarterly report included the <br />months of August through December because the policy was adopted in <br />August. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ACCEPT THE UTILITY BILLING <br />ADJUSTMENT QUARTERLY REPORT. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />10.1. Enqineerinq Services for 2012 <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO CONTINUE WORKING <br />WITH WSN FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES IN 2012. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />10.2. Government Drive Update <br />City Engineer Tim Houle stated that the survey work has been completed. <br />He proposed to set up the bidding documents so that construction starts <br />after Labor Day. He requested authorization to advertise within the next <br />two months. The Council consented to begin construction after Labor Day. <br />11. Clerk's Report <br />Report accepted by Council. <br />11.1. Annual Appointments by Mavor <br />
