City of It <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes= <br /> Water/Wastewater Report — August 2023 <br /> Water System Flows for July: <br /> Average Daily Gallons Pumped: 200,000 gallons <br /> Total Monthly Gallons Pumped: 5,997,000 gallons <br /> Wastewater System Flows for July: <br /> Average Daily Flow: 68,086 gallons (Design: 121,795 GPD) <br /> Total Monthly Flow: 2,110,655 gallons <br /> Operations Report <br /> Pequot Lakes: <br /> • Daily water treatment plant and wastewater collection system inspections were completed. <br /> • Wastewater pond and lift station checks were completed periodically, and lift station <br /> monthly preventative maintenance was performed on 8/7. <br /> • Weekly water testing for MDH was completed. A quarterly fluoride sample was taken for <br /> MDH on 8/23, and lead and copper testing was done in mid-August. This occurs every 3 <br /> years. <br /> • Water meters were read on 8/24. <br /> • All regulatory reporting was completed and submitted—MDH Fluoride Report on 8/2 and <br /> MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report on 8/7. <br /> • Annual jet-cleaning of the City's gravity sewer lines began in mid-August. I should have <br /> this wrapped up in early September, and shortly thereafter Nelson Sanitation will clean the <br /> City's six duplex lift stations. <br /> • Ken and I repaired a leaking hydrant in an alley by South Heath St in early August. We <br /> have a few more fire hydrants needing some work before we flush this fall. I'm tentatively <br /> planning on flushing on Thursday, September 21'. <br /> Lake Shore: <br /> • Ken and I have been doing some minor repair work to STEP stations on the City's <br /> collection system. <br /> • Biosolids samples were taken from tanks at the City's wastewater treatment site in mid- <br /> August in preparation for land application this fall.
