M1DEPARTMENT OF 2021 Shade Tree Program <br /> NATURAL RESOURCES Bonding Grants <br /> For projects or portions of projects that lie within roads,highways or utility or transit corridors, <br /> easements or rights-of-way,a certification in which the grantee acknowledges that the property <br /> purchased and/or improved is still state bond financed property and thus subject to certain statutory <br /> requirements will suffice in lieu of a declaration. <br /> Certifications and declarations must be submitted before requesting reimbursement from DNR. <br /> Project Completion <br /> All project work must be completed, request for final reimbursement,and final reports submitted by <br /> December 10,2024. <br /> Other Considerations <br /> All proposals submitted in response to this RFA become the property of the DNR.DNR reserves a <br /> royalty-free,nonexclusive,and irrevocable license to reproduce,publish,otherwise use,and to <br /> authorize others to use materials produced under this grant agreement. <br /> DNR also reserves the right to: <br /> • Post funded proposals and reports, including images and maps,to the DNR website <br /> • Reject any or all proposals received <br /> • Waive or modify minor irregularities in proposals received after prior notification and <br /> agreement of applicant <br /> • Use any or all ideas submitted unless those ideas are covered by legal patent or proprietary <br /> rights <br /> • Clarify the scope of this program,within the RFA requirements and with appropriate notice to <br /> potential applicants,to best serve the interests of the state of Minnesota <br /> • Amend program specifications after their release,with appropriate notice to potential <br /> applicants <br /> • Require a good faith effort on the part of the grantee to work with DNR subsequent to project <br /> completion to develop or implement project results <br /> • Withhold any payments when contract conditions are not met <br /> Page 7 of 8 February,2021 <br />
