City of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes Water/Wastewater Report — July 2023 <br /> Water Department Flows for June: <br /> Average Daily Gallons Pumped: 209,000 gallons <br /> Total Monthly Gallons Pumped: 6,058,000 gallons <br /> Wastewater Department Flows for June: <br /> Average Daily Flow: 69,074 gallons (Design: 121,795 GPD) <br /> Total Monthly Flow: 2,072,215 gallons <br /> Operations Report-_ <br /> Pequot Lakes: <br /> • Daily water treatment plant and wastewater collection system inspections were completed. <br /> • Wastewater pond and lift station checks were completed periodically, and lift station <br /> monthly preventative maintenance was performed on 7/10. <br /> • Weekly water testing for MDH was completed. Annual sampling for Trihalomethanes and <br /> Haloacetic acids was also completed on 7/11. <br /> • Water meters were read on 7/20. <br /> • All regulatory reporting was completed—MDH Fluoride Report and MPCA Discharge <br /> Monitoring Report both on 7/5. <br /> • Monitoring wells around the wastewater ponds were sampled on 7/11. <br /> • I'm working with Greg Kossen, CWC SSTS Inspector on my mentorship for sewer <br /> inspections. We completed 4 so far in July. <br /> • Team Lab ran a boat around the City's primary wastewater pond,measuring solids levels <br /> and also collected a sample for the lab. This will help establish a dosing rate for the <br /> bioaugmentation program I plan on starting next year. <br /> • MN Pumpworks completed annual inspections on the City's duplex pump stations. <br /> • In preparation for the City Council's workshop on August 7th, I've put together a list of <br /> upcoming utility needs for the Council to consider: <br /> 1-3 Years: <br /> *Main Lift Station Rebuild <br /> *Gravdahl Forcemain Reconstruction <br /> *Sibley Street Lift Station Rehab <br /> *Sewer/Water Infrastructure Under Main and Front Streets <br /> *Larsen Parkway/Lilac Drive Loop <br /> 3-5 Years: <br /> *Water Treatment Plant Upgrades <br /> *Construct 3rd Aerated Wastewater Pond <br /> Lake Shore: <br /> • Ken and I have been doing annual inspections on the City's STEP stations. <br /> • Monitoring wells around the City's treatment sites were sampled on 7/11. <br /> • MN Pumpworks completed annual inspections on the City's duplex pump stations. <br /> • A couple STEP station alarms resulted in some minor repair work, nothing significant. <br /> Respectfully Submitted by Andy Schwartz,Water/Wastewater Operations Manager,City of <br /> Pequot Lakes.
