Peine, City Clerk <br /> (218)568-5222 <br /> The Governing Body of the Utility is: <br /> Pequot Lakes City Council <br /> Risk Assessment: <br /> The City of Pequot Lakes has conducted an internal risk assessment to evaluate how at risk the <br /> current procedures are at allowing utility customers to create a fraudulent account and evaluate if <br /> current(existing) accounts are being manipulated. This risk assessment evaluated how new <br /> accounts were opened and the methods used to access the account information. Using this <br /> information the City was able to identify red flags that were appropriate to prevent identity theft. <br /> ❑ New accounts opened in person by the property owner <br /> ❑ New accounts opened via telephone by the property owner <br /> ❑ New accounts opened via fax by the property owner <br /> ❑ Account changes requested by the property owner <br /> ❑ Account information accessed in person by the property owner or tenant <br /> ❑ Account information accessed via telephone by the property owner or tenant <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
