STUDENT INTERNSHIP <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> St. Cloud Technical College <br /> Water Environment Technologies <br /> 1. COLLEGE TERMS AND ROLES: <br /> a. A St. Cloud Technical College Instructor may conduct observation and evaluation <br /> visits(one-two hours each) at the jobsite during the training period. <br /> b. The college/program will provide the forms necessary for the evaluation of each <br /> assignment. <br /> c. The Instructors will determine if the requested training is appropriate and <br /> acceptable as a substitute to the Water Environment Technologies program. <br /> d. St. Cloud Technical College is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination in <br /> employment and education opportunity. STUDENT TERMS AND ROLES: <br /> a. Transportation to and from an assignment will be the responsibility of the <br /> student. <br /> b. The hours for the training will be the regular working hours of the employer. <br /> The desired number of hours will be 44)hours per week. A minimum of 40 hours <br /> will be necessary. <br /> c. Lunch and coffee breaks will follow the policy of the host facility. <br /> d. The Student will observe the attire and grooming requirements as established by <br /> the employer. <br /> e. The Student will complete an evaluation form documenting the experiences <br /> received at the training facility. This form must be signed by the employer and <br /> submitted to the instructor. <br /> f. The student shall maintain a daily log of tasks performed at the training facility. <br /> Daily logs will be submitted to the instructor upon returning to the classroom. <br /> g. The student will make an oral presentation of the training experience in class. <br /> h. At evaluation day,the student will also submit a portfolio containing <br /> Daily diary reports, <br /> Critical analysis of experiences, <br /> Self evaluation form, <br /> A two page work summary, <br /> and other appropriate exhibits. <br /> 3. HOST EMPLOYER TERMS AND ROLES: <br /> a. Host employers and institutions must be committed to affirmative action and <br /> equal opportunity in employment and education. <br /> b. Day-to-day supervision of the student intern will be the responsibility of the host <br /> facility. <br /> c. The training provided must be related to common operator and facility duties <br /> and responsibilities. <br />
