Maintenance Department Monthly Report <br /> OCTOBER 2008 <br /> Water run off problem areas have taken up much time now that <br /> rains have started again. Two areas being dealt with mainly in the design <br /> process are on Pequot Boulevard and West Hubbard streets. Both areas are <br /> going to have small retention area's build but location and size are what is <br /> being talked about with our engineers and contractors. <br /> The Maintenance Department assisted the Clerks Department with the setup <br /> for primary elections. All went well. With the re-building of the parking <br /> area and new sidewalks around the Cole Building larger crowds should find <br /> access easier during the November elections. <br /> The Park Board has arranged to have two of Paul Bunyan's footsteps made <br /> from concrete to be installed in the Trailside Park. This will be done in <br /> October after we have re-arranged any irrigation heads and water lines in the <br /> way. <br /> Meetings Attended <br /> Sept. 2 Council meeting <br /> Sept. 15 Monthly Department Budget Meeting <br /> Sept. 29 31 Sub Committee meeting <br /> Sept. 29 Insurance Committee meeting <br />
