Pequot Lakes Police Monthly Report <br /> April 2023: During the month of April (1st-30th),the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a <br /> record of 286 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • Alarm <br /> • Animal Complaint <br /> • Civil Problem <br /> • Domestic <br /> • Driving Complaint <br /> • EMS <br /> • Found Property <br /> • Public Assist <br /> • Suicidal Person <br /> • Welfare Check <br /> Notable Calls: <br /> On 4/1/23, Officer Derek Johnson was dispatched to a report of a suicidal male with a knife. <br /> Upon arrival, Officer Johnson met with the female complainant,who stated the male was inside <br /> a fish house on the property. Officer Johnson went to the fish house and made contact with the <br /> male.The male was not compliant with Officer Johnson's orders to step out. Officer Johnson <br /> was assisted by Crow Wing County deputies to get the male out of the fish house and into <br /> handcuffs.The male was given medical attention at the scene and transported to the Crow <br /> Wing County Jail for GM Obstruction.This case is currently under review by the Crow Wing <br /> County Attorney's Office. <br /> On 4/27/23, Officer Sheri Fyle successfully executed the Mock Crash at the high school.This is a <br /> bi-annual exercise that is presented the week before prom for the juniors and seniors.A drunk <br /> driving accident is simulated using student actors.This year,we had assistance from the Breezy <br /> Point Police Department, Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, North Ambulance,Air Care and the <br /> Pequot Lakes Fire District. <br />
