City Council Minutes <br /> August 5, 2008 <br /> Page 8 of 10 <br /> Tim Houle noted that he has inspected the Trailside Estates Plat for <br /> completion of the project. He noted that there were two remaining items to <br /> correct. The pavement patch next to lift station has been repaired to City <br /> standards. The minimum of 70% vegetative cover requirement has not <br /> been met. He indicated that the developer did put sod down around the lift <br /> station which does help minimize erosion; however, the 70% coverage is <br /> clearly not met. He noted that across from the lift station there is still a <br /> strip of non vegetative area. Tim Houle indicated that he will ask Gary <br /> Giltner and Mike Loven give the project a final check. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO SEND <br /> A LETTER TO THE DEVELOPER STATING THAT THE CITY WILL <br /> ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING IMPROVEMENTS CONTINGENT ON THE <br /> STREET DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR AND WATER WASTEWATER <br /> SUPERVISOR DOING A FINAL INSPECTION: <br /> • THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM <br /> • THE WATER MAIN SYSTEM <br /> • STORM SEWER <br /> • THE STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br /> • THE PARK <br /> AND FURTHER: <br /> • THAT THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY BEGIN FOR THOSE ITEMS <br /> • AND TO NOTE THAT THE LIFT STATION WAS PREVIOUSLY <br /> ACCEPTED <br /> • THAT THE CITY WILL NOT ACCEPT THE VEGETATION AT <br /> THIS TIME AS IT DOES NOT MEET THE 70% MINIMUM <br /> COVERAGE REQUIREMENT <br /> • THAT THE DEVELOPER AGREES TO REPAIR ANY DAMAGE <br /> CAUSED BY EROSION UNTIL VEGETATIVE COVER REACHES <br /> THE ACCEPTABLE LEVEL <br /> • THAT THE CITY WILL RETAIN THE BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $92,247.38 DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AMEND THE MOTION TO ADD <br /> THE FOLLOWING LANGUAGE: <br /> • THE CITY WILL ALLOW ONE MORE INSPECTION BY THE <br /> ENGINEER AT NO CHARGE TO THE DEVELOPER; HOWEVER, <br /> IF THE VEGETATION IS NOT AT 70% COVERAGE BY <br />
