• <br />MINUTES <br />PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING COMMISSION <br />REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING <br />DECEMBER 14, 2006 <br />PRESENT: Bill Habein, Dean Williams, Tom Adams, Tom Woog, Roger Varilek and <br />Scott Pederson. ABSENT: Mark Hallan and John Derksen. <br />CITY PLANNER: Charles Marohn, PE. <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: Dawn Bittner. <br />CITY COUNCIL LIAISON: Cathy Malecha. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman <br />APPLICANT: City of Pequot Lakes <br />Applicant requests to rezone from Residential and Commercial to Shoreline <br />Residential. James Sherwood and Curtis min ;el, propez,yoners. Parcel No.: <br />290221400A00009. <br />The property owners w. `'` attendance . Maros explained the Staff Report. <br />There was no publi ,3mmen' `w. e division me between the Shoreline Residential and <br />Commercial zone <br />JOHN DERKSEN-ARRIVED AT 6:41 p.m <br />The western bound could line up with the parcels to the north and south. The <br />followingshould be added to Finding' of Fact Number 10: The western boundary of the <br />commercial property is a line between the eastern boundary of the platted Front Street <br />and the western boundary of the lot to the south of the subject property. <br />A motion was made by Tom Adams, seconded by Bill Habein, to recommend rezoning <br />this parcel to Shorelie Residential and Commercial, based on the following Findings of <br />Fact: <br />1. The proposed rezoning to Shoreline Residential would be consistent with the <br />City's Comprehensive Plan as the properties are adjacent to shoreline and some of <br />them are residential in character. <br />2. The proposed rezoning to Shoreline Residential is mostly consistent with the <br />Future Land Use Map, which designates the area adjacent to the shore as <br />Shoreline Residential.
