Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br /> Report to the City Council <br /> July 30, 2008 <br /> So far for the month of July the Department has logged more than 756 individual ICRs. <br /> Current Activities: <br /> The Reserves, Part time and Full time Officers conducted 1502 individual business and home security <br /> checks throughout the month, with 11 open doors found. <br /> The entire Department was on hand for assisting the Chamber with the 4th of July Parade and <br /> Activities. This is the second year in a row we can report that the department received no report of <br /> injuries happening during the parade!! <br /> The Reserves provided foot patrol during Bean Hole days the week after the 4th of July events. <br /> The Reserve Unit received a $3,000 grant from the Minnesota Reserve Association for covering the <br /> costs of providing ballistics vests for each of the 10 Reserve Officers on the Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br /> The vests have been ordered and should be available for the Officers by the end of summer. <br /> Upcoming Training: <br /> Aug 21St: Officers Nangle, Petersen, Melberg and Murdock will attend Precision Driving training at <br /> the Hibbing Technical College.
