City Council Minutes <br />August 5,2014 <br />PageT of9 <br />9.6, Old Hiqhwav 371 P,roieqt Desiqn <br />Mike Loven requested the Council to authorize the City Engineer to move <br />fonvard with the design of Old Highway 371. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br />ENGINEER TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE DESIGN OF OLD <br />HIGHWAY 371. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. <br />Council Member Sjoblad reminded the Council to give the City Engineer <br />design criteria early on in the process as this will save the City time and <br />money. Mayor Adams stated that it is also important to keep the citizens <br />informed about the project. <br />MOTION CARRIED 4.0. <br />10. City Clerk <br />10.1 . Request to Hire Admini€trative/Finance A <br />The City Clerk recommended that the Council hire Debra Marty as the <br />Administrative/Finance Assistant effective August 25,2014, at Step 2 of <br />the pay scale; moving to step 3 on February 25,2015 contingent on a <br />successful six-month probation, <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO HIRE DEBRA MARTY AS <br />THE ADMINISTRATIVE FINANCE ASSISTANT EFFECTIVE AUGUST <br />25,2014, TO BEGIN AT STEP TWO OF THE PAY SCALE; MOVING TO <br />STEP 3 ON FEBRUARY 25,2015, CONTINGENT ON A SUCCESSFUL <br />SIX.MONTH PROBATION.
