Discussed was the pros and cons of charcoal to propane, the location, distance from
the building while in use, responsibility and clean-up after usage, etc. The decision was made that it would be a
trial time use through this summer, charcoal style, Matchlight charcoal (no fluid required), and location to use
it. Tenant Rager asked if others were allowed to have a grill out there too. It was authorized with the same
guidelines, but he opinion expressed by Executive Director Carlson was that she would hope that the select
group having the grill would allow a tenant to use it if they asked. It was agreed that it is obvious that it would
be cleaned and taken care of by whoever uses it.
Tenant Thompson of Parkview II spoke about the issues in the family building that she feels are directed
solely at her children/household with discrimination issues pointed out. There is a problem that we are having
non-resident children coming to our playground causing disturbances on the playground as well. Other issues
addressed were in regards to unsafe use of the playground by all, propping doors open, barefoot out of the
apartment safety issue, bike riding rules, chalk drawing rules, noise complaints. Clarifications were made by
Director Carlson in regards to comments made by tenant Thompson. The Board asked if they should have a
meeting with tenant Thompson and the other tenant that Thompson felt was causing problems for her.
Thompson declined the offer.
*Adjournment
6:13 p.m. meeting adjourned.
Moved by Ness, Seconded by Ritter,All Ayes; Motion carried.
Chrm.
