Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Adams called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br /> order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Capital Improvement Plan <br /> The Capital Improvement Plan is provided for Council review. This plan is <br /> used as a fiscal planning tool and helps to coordinate city expenditures <br /> among departments. The plan will continue to change as priorities change <br /> and funding allows. <br /> Discussion was held on the number of vehicles in the police department <br /> and the necessity of having new cameras in the squad cars. <br /> 4. 2015 Preliminary Budget Review <br /> The City Clerk noted that the general fund budgets presented this evening <br /> have been reduced from last month per Council direction. The levy <br /> budgets project a preliminary tax levy of$1,642,903 which is a $154,530 <br /> (10.38%) increase from 2014. The Clerk explained that staff is requesting <br /> the Council to work toward a preliminary budget number which will be set <br /> at the September 3rd Council meeting. The Clerk noted that the Council <br /> direction at the last meeting was for staff to present a preliminary levy of <br />
